Behind Jolly Designs is us: a family with a deep passion for creativity and children's education. It all began when our son Nevaan was diagnosed with a speech development disorder.
To support him as best we could, we searched for meaningful learning toys and discovered the fascinating world of Quiet Books. These handmade books didn't just have a wonderful effect on Nevaan – they also captivated our daughter Naomika for hours on end.
Their enthusiasm inspired us, and we knew right away: these wonderful books needed to reach other families too. In 2017, we took the leap and founded Jolly Designs – a true passion project that began in Germany and has since let us accompany more and more families.
Today, We're Two Families
Things never get boring here in Oberursel: we design the products, answer your questions, and tinker away at the next idea – a colorful mix of creative minds, family people and team players. The sewing happens 6,000 kilometers away, in Nishtha's family workshop in India. Two teams, two time zones, one shared goal: toys that really deliver.
Nishtha
Founder & CEO
Nishtha is the founder of Jolly Designs. When her son Nevaan was diagnosed with a speech development disorder, she went looking for learning toys that would truly support him – and discovered the world of Quiet Books, which captivated not just him but also her daughter Naomika for hours on end. Drawing on this experience as a mother, she founded Jolly Designs in 2017 to give other families access to Montessori-inspired toys too.
Today, she oversees finances and product design. Working closely with education experts, she develops fabric books that playfully build fine motor skills and concentration – completely screen-free.
Naman
CEO, Strategy & Internationalization
Naman is the strategic mind behind Jolly Designs. He shapes company strategy and drives our internationalization forward, bringing our learning toys step by step into new markets and reaching more and more families. With a sharp eye for opportunity, he makes sure our vision keeps growing – beyond Germany, all the way to France.
He drives the expansion into new markets and sales channels with a clear view of the bigger picture, building the structures that carry our growth forward.

Brand Communication & Product Design
Svenja is our communication talent, winning over business and brand partners for Jolly Designs day after day. With a lot of heart, she nurtures existing relationships and brings new partners on board – in B2B business as well as joint product development.
Together with strong brands, she develops new product ideas and brings them to market. Svenja embodies what Jolly Designs stands for: creativity, warmth, and a genuine passion for collaboration.

Personalization
Shweta is our expert in personal touches, giving every fabric book that certain something special. With great attention to detail, she plots and embroiders your orders with names and carefully prepares them for shipping – always with her calm, easygoing manner.
Every personalized product is shipped directly from our office and finished by hand – turning an order into a gift with real meaning. Shweta represents the care and personal touch found in every Jolly Designs product.
Yvonne
Influencer Marketing
Yvonne is in charge of influencer marketing at Jolly Designs, bringing a sharp instinct for trends and reach paired with real organizational talent. She carefully researches and vets creators to build authentic collaborations and raise our brand's profile.
Building genuine partnerships with creators is what she loves most. On top of that, Yvonne is our office's organizing wizard: she keeps things structured and plans our open house days and events. Yvonne stands for commitment, precision and creativity – and brings a breath of fresh air wherever she goes.

Customer Service
Vicky is the voice and heart of our customer service. She takes great joy in looking after our families' questions and making sure every interaction with Jolly Designs is a positive one.
Whether it's a question about a Quiet Book, an order, or a personalization – she's completely in her element talking directly with our customers. Vicky stands for the values that matter most to us: friendliness, attentiveness and genuine care.

Communication Design & Digital Growth
At Jolly Designs, Lea combines creativity with an instinct for digital growth. Drawing on her expertise in communication design, she works every day to grow our brand in digital growth and e-commerce, reaching families through inspiring content and a strong digital presence.
A particular focus of her work is social media, along with creating and optimizing product photos and videos. With a great eye for detail, she brings our play worlds authentically to life and creates content that inspires parents and makes what's special about our products instantly clear.
Nicole
Communication Design, Performance Marketing & Digital Growth
With her background in communication design and her work in performance marketing & digital growth, she combines creativity with data-driven marketing. At Jolly Designs, she manages our TikTok Shop, develops newsletter campaigns, designs Meta Ads creative, and is the go-to person for our UGC creators.
She especially loves our video series "Nicole Unfiltered," where she gives you honest, behind-the-scenes glimpses and shares topics around our brand in an authentic way.

Every one of our Quiet Books is lovingly handmade in New Delhi, where Nishtha's parents built a business for handcrafted products more than 35 years ago. We carry that tradition forward, built on fair working conditions and mutual respect.
Our seamstresses and tailors pour their dedication into every single book, and we're proud to be able to value them the way they deserve.

OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The Journey to a Finished Quiet Book
Making a Quiet Book is a creative process that brings many minds and hands together. We start with a big brainstorm, putting every idea on the table – what can a child learn from this book, which colors and shapes will capture their attention? First sketches follow, and soon after, the prototype.
Once everything feels right, it heads to our workshop, where up to 250 tiny individual pieces are cut and lovingly assembled into a single book. That's how every page becomes a little journey of discovery, bringing joy and inspiration to children.
